According to the Rochester Democrat & Chroniclenewspaper, two cars were involved in an action-movie-spoof-let’s-shoot-at-each other-while-driving kind of thing. One of the cars got hit, and stopped right away. The other swerved out of control and couldn’t stop moving…until it crashed right into the local police department office. Needless to say, they were arrested fairly quickly. You know what they say: if opportunity comes knocking, arrest it!

car accidents :)

One criminal known as the “Sticky Note Bandit” got caught because she parked her car in a handicapped zone while committing one of her crimes, according to KCRA.
Police spotted her vehicle parked in a handicapped zone and when they went to cite her, they recognized her name from a local “Most Wanted” list. “Most Stupid” is more like it.

EMOTIONS-  mining in chillenyone else fascinated by the mine rescue going on in Chile?  Everytime I see the coverage I get tears in my eyes, it is so moving.  Can you imagine a loved one trapped down in the mine for so long and finally being reunited with them?!?!?  The ones with young kids are the images that really get me going.
I just have to say that with all the bad news we hear every day it is nice to turn on the TV to good news!
PROGRESS- progress in iranMy local paper hadn't reported on this, and it caught me completely by surprise. I know very little about Tunisia, except that it is known to be especially repressive toward speech and journalists, and like many North African countries, has very high youth unemployment (even for university graduates). Apparently, Tunisia and the US have quite good relations. How do you think this will turn out? Will this reach a level of publicity similar to the protests/democratic movement in Iran?

it is wrong for people to give other people confidential information about the government.
many people have gotten killed because of this act. it needs to stop. it is not worth having people die because of what people have said.
